Teal Resume Review 2026: The Free-Forever Resume Builder That Also Tracks Your Job Search
Teal is a job-search workspace, not just a resume builder. Where tools like Rezi sell a one-time license and Kickresume rent templates annually, Teal gives the core resume builder and job tracker away for free and charges for AI depth via Teal+. It was built around a simple insight: most job seekers lose track of where they applied, so the resume and the tracker should live in the same workspace. This review was compiled by our editorial team with AI-assisted research; pricing reflects 2026 data from tealhq.com and independent trackers.
What Teal does
- Resume Builder — build unlimited ATS-friendly resumes from 100+ templates, restyle in Design Mode, and export PDF for free.
- Job Tracker — save unlimited jobs, track stages (Bookmarked → Applied → Offer), manage contacts, and set follow-up reminders in one place.
- Chrome extension — bookmark jobs from 40+ job boards so you never lose a posting.
- Resume-to-job matching — attach a job posting and see the keywords your resume is missing while you edit.
- AI writing — generate bullets, professional summaries, and cover letters (credits on free, unlimited on Teal+).

Heavy AI users will feel the free credit cap quickly; everyone else can run a full search on free.
Where Teal wins
- One workspace for the whole search. Build the resume, match it to a saved job, and track the application without leaving Teal.
- Real free tier. Unlimited resumes and exports with no expiry beats tools that watermark or time-limit free.
- Job-tracking focus. The tracker is first-class, not a bolt-on — useful once you are applying to dozens of roles.
- ATS-aware templates. Single-column, clean layouts that hiring software reads reliably.
Where Teal is limited
- Web only. No iOS or Android app — mobile users must use the browser.
- AI is credit-gated on free. Past the starter credits, bullets and cover letters require Teal+.
- Design breadth trails template-first rivals. Kickresume's 40+ designer templates and Rezi's ATS scoring are sharper on their respective strengths.
Teal vs the alternatives
- Pick Teal if you want a free, organized job search with resume tailoring and tracking in one place.
- Pick Rezi if you want one-time-purchase pricing and ATS-score obsession.
- Pick Kickresume if template variety and a usable free tier matter most.
